The VPH Society warmly invites you to attend the 2026 General Assembly, taking place on 2 September 2026, from 18:00 to 19:30 CET, during the VPH2026 Conference in Milan.
The General Assembly is an opportunity for members and the in silico medicine community to come together, reflect on the Society’s progress over the past year, and discuss its strategic direction for the future. It also provides a valuable forum to connect with the VPH leadership, meet the teams and committees driving the Society’s activities, and learn about the initiatives shaping the VPH community.
The meeting will begin with a “Meet the VPH Team and Committees” session, where participants will hear from the Society’s leadership and staff about the progress made over the past year and the strategic priorities ahead. Highlights include:
- A welcome address by Liesbet Geris, Executive Director, presenting the Society.
- An introduction to the Society’s new brand identity and renewed organisational structure by the VPH General Manager Martina Contin.
- An overview of VPH communication and dissemination activities by Goran Stanic – Communication Officer.
- Insights into the evolving policy and regulatory landscape for in silico medicine from Senior Scientific Officer Janaki Raman.
- A presentation by the VPH social scientist, Zita Van Horenbeck on strengthening patient involvement in research and innovation.
- Reflections from Davide Montesarchio, our Science Communicator, on the opportunities and challenges of communicating in silico medicine to diverse audiences.
Members will also be introduced to the Society’s committees, including the 2027 Board of Directors, the 2027–2028 Executive Committee, and the 2027–2028 Young Scientist Committee, highlighting opportunities for engagement and community participation.
The second part of the meeting will feature an update on the VHT infrastructure, providing attendees with the latest developments in this important initiative for the VPH community.
Whether you are a long-standing member or new to the Society, the General Assembly offers an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn about ongoing initiatives, and help shape the future of in silico medicine.
We look forward to welcoming you in Milan.
