Final call for input on the AI and Virtual Human Twins Joint Statement
The EU Health Policy Platform Thematic Network on AI and Virtual Human Twins in Healthcare is finalising its Joint Statement. Before sharing it with the European Commission, we welcome further contributions from the wider community. The draft followed two writing sessions in July and August and a reflection phase in September. More info
There are three ways to take part:
– Read and comment on the draft. Registration is required to access it, and comments close on 30 October.
– Join the final review session on 5 November, where all feedback will be consolidated.
– Endorse the statement once the HPP and EC teams have completed their review.
The statement covers what emerged across the writing sessions: trust and transparency in AI systems, education and training of the healthcare workforce, meaningful patient and public involvement, and governance frameworks for the responsible deployment of AI and Virtual Human Twins in care.
VPH coordinates this Thematic Network together with the EU Health Policy Platform. If you work in this area, we would value your input.
