Call for application- VPH Travel Vouchers 2026

The VPH Institute will award up to 6 Travel Vouchers (500€) to student members participating in the VPH2026 Conference in Milan, Italy, to support travel, accommodation, and living expenses during the event.

All VPH student members with an abstract accepted for an oral presentation at the VPH2026 Conference are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a VPH Student Member in good standing for 2026;
• Have an accepted abstract for oral presentation.

Selection Procedure

Only applications meeting all eligibility criteria will be considered;
A selection committee will evaluate applications based on:

• Scientific merit;
• Gender balance;
• Diversity of research areas;
• Geographic diversity, with attention to low- and middle-income countries.

Selected candidates will be notified in due course and the awardees will receive a certificate during the conference. The funds will be transferred shortly after the conference.

How to Apply

Applicants must send their complete application to this address, including:

• Proof of VPH membership (your personal membership code can be found logging in your personal area here);
• A copy of the accepted conference abstract (first authors only);
• A copy of the applicant’s CV;
• A motivation letter, including:
  • Full name, address, nationality, and age;
  • Current position and institution;
  • Name and contact details of the academic supervisor;
  • Justification for the travel grant including reasons for applying, expected benefits for the applicant, and importance of the voucher for conference participation.

Deadlines

Application deadline: 10 July 2026

By 10 August 2026, the awardee’s supervisor must confirm via email at this address that:

• They are aware of the awarded amount;
• The funds will be used exclusively to support the awardee’s participation in the conference.

Failure to provide this information will result in automatic withdrawal of the award.
