This prestigious award is open to all VPH members who have defended their thesis between 1st January 2025 and 31st December 2024.

What we are looking for:

Your thesis will be evaluated based on:

  • Capacity to address a knowledge gap or solve a pressing scientific question
  • Methodological innovation in your research approach
  • High-impact research outputs
  • International integration and collaboration

How to apply:

Submit the following documents by 28th February 2025:

  • A 4-page CV highlighting your key achievements.
  • A complete publication list (journal articles, conference proceedings, etc.).
  • A recommendation letter from your PhD supervisor explaining why you’re a strong candidate.
  • A 2-page research summary, outlining:
    • The scientific question your PhD addressed.
    • The technologies you used or developed.
    • Your most significant research results.
    • The novelty and impact of your work.
    • Next steps for future research.
  • A copy of your PhD diploma or certificate (PDF format).
  • A PDF version of your final PhD thesis (max 10MB).
  • Proof of VPH membership (Your personal membership code can be found by logging in to your personal area here: https://www.vph-institute.org/login.html).

Eligibility:

You must be a current VPH member. If you’re not a member yet, you can register for free if you’re affiliated with an ordinary or supporting member institution, or you can apply for a personal membership for 2025.
