Outreach

  • Stakeholder engagement

Guided by the principles of Responsible Research and Innovation and Open Science, we conduct targeted engagement activities that go beyond consultation to foster real inclusion through dialogue and collaboration, and continuous reflection. That way, we ensure the development of in silico medicine is in line with real-world needs and societal values.

    Our activities include:

    • Mapping stakeholder networks and developing ad hoc engagement strategies
    • Conducting semi-structured interviews, (multi-stakeholder) focus groups, workshops, panels and surveys
    • Exploring concerns, needs, expectations, tensions and perspectives

  • Communication

Our communication activities aim to connect scientists, policymakers, clinicians, patients, and the broader public through tailored, high-impact communication strategies.

From organizing international conferences and expert webinars, to producing engaging content, such as infographics, videos and podcasts, we ensure that our community achievements reach the right people, in the right way, at the right time.

Our goal is to foster dialogue and collaboration to deepen the public understanding of in silico medicine and its impact on society.

  • Advocacy

We give voice to the scientific community within the VPH acting as a think-tank to advise and support governmental and non-governmental institutions on healthcare Research and Innovation  programmes. Simultaneously, as a community of practice, we advocate for and support regional, national and international initiatives that leverage computer modelling, simulation, and AI to power the emerging paradigms of the digital and virtual human twin ecosystem in healthcare. We proactively participate in public consultations of policy documents, legislations and high-level policy events with key decision-makers, while also supporting grassroots work to rally the community in drafting standards and good practices.
